A global community where astronomers and astrophotographers come together to share knowledge, overcome challenges, and celebrate the wonders of the night sky. From beginners setting up their first telescope to seasoned imagers perfecting their craft, we’re here to inspire, educate, and connect stargazers everywhere.
AstroWorld was created to bring astronomers and astrophotographers together, helping each other navigate the challenges of exploring and capturing the night sky. What started as a small show has grown into a thriving global community dedicated to learning, sharing, and inspiring the next generation of stargazers.
Back in 2018, Dan Higgins and Charlie Walsh launched an online show called Cosmic Charlie and Declination Dan. Their very first guests—Douglas Struble and TJ Connolly—helped set the stage for what would soon become a growing collaboration. Shortly after, Tim Cowell from The Backyard Astro Imaging Club joined, and together they coined the phrase:
“An astrophotography collaboration from both sides of the pond.”
By 2020, with passionate contributors joining from around the globe, AstroWorld was officially born in its current form. Today, the team includes Dan Higgins along with Eric Watson, Jason Jaynes, Simon Lewis, Tyler Bowman, Scott Cole, Teagan Grable, Jessi Wenke, and Peter Meyers—each bringing unique experience and energy to the community.
AstroWorld hosts live shows every Wednesday and Friday night across YouTube, Facebook, and Twitch. Our episodes feature conversations with world-class experts and passionate hobbyists, covering everything from telescope setups and imaging techniques to astrophotography software and the science behind the stars.
Over the years, we’ve been honored to welcome incredible guests, including:
Scott Roberts, CEO of Explore Scientific
Tom Bramwell from Primaluce Lab, USA
Image-processing masters Ron Brecher, Warren Keller, and Peter Proulx
World-renowned astrophotographer Adam Block
…and many more inspiring voices in the astronomy community.
AstroWorld isn’t just a show—it’s a community. Our mission is simple:
Educate: Share knowledge and resources to help beginners and experts alike.
Collaborate: Connect astronomers and astrophotographers around the world.
Inspire: Celebrate the wonders of the cosmos and make astronomy more accessible.
Whether you’re a seasoned imager or just setting up your first telescope, you’ll find support, friendship, and endless curiosity here.
So come join us under the stars. Together, we’ll keep exploring, keep learning, and as always:
Keep imaging, Keep educating, and Clear Skies!
